Project description:

As part of the project, a footbridge was built along the pedestrian and bicycle route connecting Śrem and Zbrudzewo and along Średzka street to the roundabout at the intersection of DW 432 and DW 434. The beginning of the pedestrian and bicycle route is located on the flood embankment of the relief channel of the Warta river, through which a pedestrian and bicycle footbridge was designed and built along the existing bridge.

As part of the project, a pedestrian and bicycle route was also built on the eastern side of the municipal road to Mechlin with a fork to Zbrudzewo with a passage under the planned footbridge and a bridge to the western side of the municipal road to Zbrudzewo.

As part of the project, information and promotion activities were also planned to encourage the inhabitants of the region, in particular the Śrem Commune, to use low-emission forms of urban mobility - public collective transport, cycling and walking. The activities have resulted in an increase in residents' awareness of the environmental, time and cost advantages of low-emission collective and individual transport over cars.

The main objective of the project was to create a sustainable transport system and increase the role of low-emission transport in communication in the Śrem commune.
