Project description:

As part of the project, da Vinci robot has been purchased. It is one of the most technologically advanced medical robotic systems in the world, supporting surgeries and the surgeons’ work. It is distinguished by extraordinary precision, low invasiveness, pioneer technological solutions and intuitive interface. In Poznań, da Vinci is used for the most difficult procedures, among others, in gynaecology and laryngology as well as, among others, in abdominal surgeries. Da Vinci robots have been used in foreign centres for a dozen or so years. Each year, the number of surgeries performed with the use of da Vinci is increasing. Minimally invasive surgery has been in the past few years a surgery revolution in Europe and in the world, and Poland should join it.
