Improvement of the energy efficiency of public buildings in Ostrów Wielkopolski

Description of the project:

The project involved thermal modernization of 5 public buildings located in Ostrów Wielkopolski, namely the Municipal Nursery and public kindergartens number 9, 14, 16, 17. The authorities realized insulation of external walls and roofs, insulation of window and door frames, partial replacement of window and door woodwork, replacement of lighting for energy-saving one, replacement of central heating installations and replacement of water installations. Photovoltaic units were installed on the roofs of the aforementioned buildings. Nursery and kindergarten buildings were provided with new, aesthetic facades and, thanks to thermo-modernization, their energy efficiency was improved, consequently reducing the heating costs of these facilities..

The photograph presents the building of the kindergarten no. 16. It is a two-story building, covered with white parget, the window niches are blue. One can notice inscription in blue: Koszałek Opałek above the entrance to the building, on the roof. Colourful paper flowers were placed on the window panes on the first floor. The whole area is fenced. There is a gate and pavement leading to the entrance on the right. There are green bushes and lawn on the sides of the pavement. On the left, an information and commemorative board presenting information concerning co-financing of the project by the European Union. The photograph presents the building of the kindergarten no. 17. It is a two-story building, covered with white parget, there is a roof above the entrance. The national emblem is on the right, under the emblem there is a red sign indicating the location of the kindergarten, below one can notice a letter box and on the left - number 17 on the blue background. One can notice four steps leading to the glass entrance door on the right. The stairs and landing are surrounded by a silver balustrade. Three small boxes with various plants are located on the balustrade, there are blooming red geraniums inside the boxes. There is a long driveway on the right suitable for two cars extending from two sides. Moreover, the driveway is surrounded by a silver balustrade. If one looks at the front there are three large boxes with different green arbor vitae on the ground. There is a pavement around the building, gray and red cobblestones are arranged alternately. One can notice a small fragment of the lawn and a fragment of the crown of a green tree in the foreground. The photograph presents the building of the municipal nursery. The nursery consists of two buildings located in a parallel manner. Each building has a white front, red side walls and gray frames running around the basement windows, side and top of the building. The windows are white, however, some windows are large and some are small and narrow. In the foreground, a long wheelchair ramp runs from two sides of the building. The driveway is surrounded by a gray balustrade. One can see entrance stairs on the right. They are surrounded by an gray balustrade, above the stairs there is a gray roof. A low green tree grows in front of the entrance. You can observe a pavement and a small lawn from the front. An information and commemorative board with information concerning co-financing of the project by the European Union is located on the lawn.
